Come Together for a Community Exhibit: Faces of the Flood

Don’t miss the powerful testament to the resilient and generous spirit of Baton Rouge, Faces of the Flood, now exhibiting at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. A collection of photos that looks back upon the historic August flood of 2016, this selection of portraits reflects on the lives, stories, and perseverance of the people affect by this unprecedented tragedy.

Photographed amidst damaged homes, churches and businesses, area residents share their personal stories of devastation, survival and hope in words and images as captured by Collin Richie, Dan Jones, Frank McMains, David Morris, and Kristin Basilica. Fifty of these photographs along with memorabilia, documentation, video, and even images contributed by the general public provide a compelling portrait of the Baton Rouge community’s shared distress and ultimate revival.

At Parc Fontaine Apartments in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to a fulfilling lifestyle.
